Absolutely not! Many of our guests come to just relax in the beauty of the home, enjoy Little Falls, the Mississippi and spend time with friends.
Our craft studio is set-up with 10 stations each with a 5' commercial grade table, comfy desk chair, individual lights, a power tower, waste basket, and cup holder.
The studio also has some adhesives and cardstock for purchase, as well as a paper trimmer, a Cricut a laser printer, quilt design wall and an iron and ironing board.
We have 4 bedrooms: The Poppy room is on the main floor and has a queen and 2 twin beds. The Hydrangea and Delphinium rooms are on the second floor and each has two twin beds. The Sunflower room is on the second floor and has two queens and two twin beds.
Yes, we have stairs, but we have worked to minimize their impact. There is a ramp from the sidewalk to the kitchen door which is the closest to the Craft Studio and bedrooms so you can wheel in your stuff. There is a cart just inside the door.
There is a main floor bedroom with 3 beds (2 twins and a queen).
There is a bathroom on all three levels.
The Refuge features an amazing AGA cooker. Beautiful to look at, but it can be intimidating!
It is really pretty simple. The 4 ovens are 450 degrees, 350 degrees, 250 degrees and a warming/proofing oven. The top has simmering, boiling and warming plates.
Whatever temp you are looking for, the AGA has a spot that will work for you! We have some further suggestions/instructions in the kitchen.
The Refuge is fully equipped for 10 people. You may have been other places that made you share beds, eat in shifts or take turns in the comfy chair.
We have 11 beds, the dining room table can seat 10. There are multiple sitting areas including the living room, front porch and the Hideway downstairs.
